Our Board & Train program is a guided lifestyle reset—for your dog and for you.

Your dog lives in our home, not a facility. They’re folded into real life: resting while meals are cooked, holding structure during phone calls, walking calmly through daily environments, learning how to exist peacefully around people, dogs, kids, and normal household movement.

Training happens inside life, not outside of it.

At the same time, you are coached—before, during, and after the stay—so that when your dog comes home, you don’t just get results… you understand them.

How It Works

This is a 2–3 month process, with a 4–6 week live-in stay at the center.

Before the stay, we clarify goals, routines, and expectations
During the stay, your dog receives daily structure, training, socialization, and calm coexistence
After the stay, we guide you through the transition so the work sticks

Tune-Up Training Options :

For returning board & train graduates only

Life gets busy. Structure slips. Skills fade.
But you don’t need to start from scratch—just reconnect with clarity.

At Lake Erie Dogs, we understand that the human variable is the key to long-term success. And we also know that even the best-trained dogs need a reset now and then. If you’re noticing your dog’s behavior isn’t as sharp as it once was, don’t worry. Our tune-up training options are designed to help both ends of the leash get back on track.

Two-Week Tune-Up Program — $1,400

Back to structure. Back to clarity.

This 14-day reset is perfect for past board and train graduates who need to revisit leash work, off-leash reliability, socialization, or household structure. Whether your dog’s walking skills have slipped or you’re preparing for a lifestyle change, we’ll tailor the program to fit your needs.

Includes:
• Daily training and structured boarding in our home-based program
• Refresher on e-collar and leash pressure
• Calm socialization and confidence-building drills
• One structured public walk
• Final in-person lesson at pickup (virtual options available)

We designed this program to be as much for the owner as the dog. Because maintaining success isn’t about being perfect—it’s about staying connected.

One-on-One Coaching Session — $150

For past clients only

If you’re not ready for a tune-up stay but need support, we offer single coaching sessions (in person or virtual) to troubleshoot, refresh commands, or walk through real-life scenarios.

Outside Clients Seeking Brush-Ups

If your dog completed a full program with another reputable trainer, we may accommodate single sessions on a case-by-case basis. Reach out for trainer approval and availability.
