A Mission Built in Real Life

Lake Erie Dogs began in a 400 sq ft lake house. No signs, no storefront—just 2 people who believe in good dog training and a dream. What has blossomed over the last 8 years through word-of-mouth, and trust of our community we love the lifestyle we have built and hope to continue to share our love for well trained dogs for many years to come.

Today, we’re a small family business that takes in only 1-2 dogs at a time. We work with dogs in our home as a family. We train with intention. We stay deeply invested not just in the dogs, but in the people walking beside them. A better dog brings more than peace. It brings connection, clarity, and freedom in life. Which is why we truly believe in our motto Better dog, Better Life.

Our Mission
At Lake Erie Dogs, our mission is to help families build calm, connected lives with their dogs through clear guidance, consistency, and compassionate leadership. We believe a well-trained dog isn’t just obedient, it’s a trusted companion who thrives in our everyday lives.

By living and training together, we create lasting results that go far beyond commands, rooted in presence, patience, and purpose. We’re here to support owners every step of the way, long after the leash comes off.

Why We Do This

Because we care.

Not in a surface-level way but in a sit-on-the-floor-with-your-dog, text-you-a-video-midday, celebrate-every-breakthrough kind of way.

We care when owners are overwhelmed.

We care when they finally see their dog’s potential.

We care about dogs being happy, balanced, well-socialized but also safe, calm, and respected.

We’re not a cookie-cutter, brick-and-mortar brand. We’re two humans with a lifetime of experience and a lot of heart, raising our family while helping yours.

We train so you can have a dog that integrates into your life the way you imagined. Not every dog story looks the same but our goal is always the same: to help you bring out the best in the dog you already love.

In Honor of Our Pack

Drax. Sasja. Snow.

They were our first teachers. They showed us how to lead, how to listen, and how to let dogs be dogs. Their memory lives on in our logo and in everything we teach.

We don’t train because it’s our business.

We train because it’s how we grieve, grow, and give back.
